WELCOME
Hi, my name is Abi, and welcome to 40HourEats! I’ve created this blog because I love trying new recipes and really hate wasting food. It’s all about cooking delicious food with the purpose of reusing ingredients throughout the week to minimize food waste. This isn’t supposed to be a health food blog, because I’m a firm believer that I’m living my best life when I find balance and variety in the food I eat. When I can, I will provide suggestions for other meats, non-meats, or things to exclude/replace in order to make it ‘healthier’, but no promises!  I’m excited to help you discover new recipes all while using up the food in your fridge. I have to say, when you look in your fridge after the first week and see how little leftover food there is, boy is that a good feeling!hile using up the food in your fridge.
HOW IT WORKS
Here’s a little bit about how this whole thing works:
Every other week I’ll release a ‘Lineup’ which includes a lunch to eat for the entire week, four dinners, and a grocery list
The meals will include ingredients that will be used in other recipes throughout the week
Each ‘Lineup’ is meant for 2 people
Lunch recipes will make 8-10 servings (it all depends on if you want to bring 4 or 5 meals with you for the week)
Recipes and grocery lists will need to be adjusted if cooking for more or less than 2 people - I will provide suggestions for what meals would work best to make these adjustments
Every so often, if there are ingredients being used that I think ‘What the heck am I going to use this for again?’ I’ll provide ‘Extras’ such as desserts or snack ideas to use up these ingredients
I hope you enjoy this as much as I do, and I’m looking forward to feedback on which recipes you like, dislike, and what you might want to see more of! Feel free to reach out with suggestions and questions here.
Cheers!
Abi
