Asparagus + Italian Sausage Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ teaspoons minced garlic

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • 2-3 dashes hot pepper sauce (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • ½ pound fresh asparagus, cut into 1-1/2 inch pieces

  • Salt to taste

  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper

  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

  • 6 oz pasta noodles, cooked and drained

  • ½ pound Italian Sausage, cooked

Directions:

  1. In a skillet, cook garlic, red pepper flakes and hot pepper sauce in oil for 2-3 minutes. Add asparagus, salt and pepper; sauté until asparagus is crisp-tender, about 8-10 minutes. Put in bowl and save for later.

  2. Remove casing from sausage. Cook in skillet over medium-high heat until broken into small pieces and fully cooked.

  3. Add asparagus and Parmesan cheese to skillet; mix well. Pour over hot pasta and toss to coat.
