Servings: 2
Marinade:
½ teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon soy sauce
¼ teaspoon sesame oil
¼ teaspoon pepper
Sauce:
3 teaspoons hoisin sauce
3 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons water
Salt and pepper to taste
Other Ingredients:
½ head of broccoli
½ lb sirloin
½ tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
⅛ teaspoon ginger paste
Directions:
Combine marinade ingredients in medium bowl and add sirloin. Stir until the meat is completely covered. Place in fridge and let sit for at least 10 minutes.
While meat is marinating, steam broccoli in small pot over medium heat with ¼ cup water and combine all sauce ingredients in small bowl.
Once meat is ready, heat oil over medium heat in large skillet. Add steak and let cook for a few minutes; add garlic and ginger paste. Once meat is cooked to desired doneness, stir in sauce until it begins to thicken. Toss in broccoli and continue stirring until completely covered. Serve with rice if you would like, otherwise it’s great as is. Enjoy!
